The BEST OF: Palestine readings on Tuesday night
"What is your favorite part of the war?"
My favorite part of this war is the Mandate.
TOP PLAYS:
NICOLE:
"Are the Arabs being punished for the actions of Nazi Germany?"
The Arabs are being punished for the actions of Nazi Germany because their homeland is being populated with more and more Jews. They didn't take any part in the Holocaust. Now everyone's saying that the Jews need their own homeland. It just so happens that the Jews want their land.
"What happened to Palestine?"
Most of what was Palestine has been taken by the Jews. The rest is either part of Jordan or part of Eqypt.
AUDREY:
How did the Law of Return Effect The Arab Pride?
the law of return effected the Arabs pride because now any jewish person from anywhere in the world could "return/come" to Israel and become a full citizen but Arabs could not return to the place where they were born.
ALEC:
"why doesnt germany give them some of there land because of what they put them through?"
this doesn't fully answer the question... but it kind of does... Germany didn't give land but they gave a lot of money... and neither the Arabs nor Jews would want to leave to gain land in Germany, because they want Jerusalem.
CHARLIE FOX (Answering his own question…)
"On a scale from 1 to 10 how angry do you think the Palestinians were and why"
execellent question Foxcr13!
i believe it was a 10 because they went from being a full country to slowly, but surely getting diminished until there was no Palestine
"Are the Arabs being punished for the actions of Nazi germany?"
The answer to this question is debatable, based on one's point of view, but it seems as though the Arabs suffered as a direct result of the actions of the Nazis, though they did nothing wrong.
"Why did Israel's GNP and GNP per capita suddenly rise rapidly?"
It rose because the German government gave $715 million and American Jews gave more than $500 million. Both of these donations were out of sympathy because they felt bad for Israel.
"Where did the Arab refugees go after they lost Palestine?"
The refugees first moved into the West Bank and Jordan, but when Jordan lost the West Bank to Israel, they had to move eastward into Jordan

--> it stated that no harm and prejudice would come to the civil and religious rights of non-jewish people in Palestine
Alvaro Chatin said...
What part of the Ottoman Empire did the French get? Was it faire or did the British take advantage of them too?
Chase Connors said:
we want the funk!
(This ring tone saved Chase from a write up bc it made Mr. Gibbs giggle - but don't push your luck!!!)
(no one better get any ideas from this....no more cell phones in class - and btw, who is calling your cell in the middle of the school day?)
Luke Brooman said...
Who benefited more for it?
---the Zionists benefited more from this because the British set them established Palastine for them when they did not have to give anything back to the British
HUSAYN-McMAHON LETTERS
Audrey Regillo said...
why was it "secret?
they didn't want other countries to know they had promised the land to the jewish people.
Gordon Clark said:
"why is it 'secret'"
it was secret because the british promised the land to two other people (French and Arabs) and if they found out then there would be trouble
Gordon Clark said:

The Jews would finally have a national homeland, and the British would gain support. This act would gain them support because of the worldwide sympathy for Jews due to their repeated persecuton.
